Job Summary:

Crane Merchandising Systems is seeking an experienced web application developer with e-commerce and back office system integration experience. Candidate will be part of a global ERP project with a focus on implementing QAD Customer Self Service (CSS) based on Progress WebSpeed technology. Additionally, the candidate would provide ongoing support for the CSS solution as well as a diverse collection of existing web applications.

Essential Functions:

  • Use of application development software including Visual Studio and OpenEdge to create new and support existing applications

  • Provide support and maintenance to web application environments including interacting with both internal and external customers

  • Creating and querying database schemas in RDBMS such as SQL Server, MySQL, or Progress

  • Partner with other developers and SME’s to complete system integrations

  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities

  • Participates in planning and implementation of projects

  • Create and maintain system and support documentation

  • Track support requests and project tasks using management software

  • Follow IT guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience with front-end programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • 5+ years experience with back-end programming language such NET, PHP, Java, or Ruby

  • 2+ years experience with e-commerce applications and payment gateway integration

  • Understanding of source control tools such as TFS, GIT, or SVN

  • Ability to learn new technologies and languages

  • < >bility to conduct research into issues and products as required

Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

Beneficial Skills:

  • Experience with QAD / Progress WebSpeed is a plus; however, training opportunity is available

  • Experience with content management solutions such as Orchard

  • Custom SharePoint development and administration

  • History a Scrum or other

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, sleeves, heel straps, and bump caps.

  • Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed

  • Requires lifting 35 lbs.
