Crane Merchandising Systems is seeking an experienced web application developer with e-commerce and back office system integration experience. Candidate will be part of a global ERP project with a focus on implementing QAD Customer Self Service (CSS) based on Progress WebSpeed technology. Additionally, the candidate would provide ongoing support for the CSS solution as well as a diverse collection of existing web applications.
Use of application development software including Visual Studio and OpenEdge to create new and support existing applications
Provide support and maintenance to web application environments including interacting with both internal and external customers
Creating and querying database schemas in RDBMS such as SQL Server, MySQL, or Progress
Partner with other developers and SME’s to complete system integrations
Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
Participates in planning and implementation of projects
Create and maintain system and support documentation
Track support requests and project tasks using management software
Follow IT guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures
5+ years experience with back-end programming language such NET, PHP, Java, or Ruby
2+ years experience with e-commerce applications and payment gateway integration
Understanding of source control tools such as TFS, GIT, or SVN
Ability to learn new technologies and languages
< >bility to conduct research into issues and products as required
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Experience with QAD / Progress WebSpeed is a plus; however, training opportunity is available
Experience with content management solutions such as Orchard
Custom SharePoint development and administration
History a Scrum or other

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, sleeves, heel straps, and bump caps.
