Community Health Systems RN Critical Care OR - FT in Augusta, Georgia
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN is the OR assists with surgical procedure in either the scrub and circulating roles, participates in patient teaching and guides/directs the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing; and is able to function independently during on-call situations. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The RN takes into account patient acuity levels, ages, disabilities and stages of development in the performance of his/her duties.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor of Science.
Experience: Approximately one to two yars Operating room nursing experience or completion of an Operating Room internship program. Functions independently s the RN circulator for any service assigned. Functions independently during on-call assignments as either Circulator or Scrub Nurse.
Licenses/Certificates: Current licenses as an RN in the State of Georgia. Current BLS - American Heart Health Care Provider. ACLS or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Certification in specialty area as appropriate - preferred (CNOR)
