The Phlebotomist PRN using appropriate safety policies, collects specimens on patients of all ages while maintaining a strong emphasis on patient satisfaction.
Performs specimen collection to the extent determined by laboratory section competency.
Communicates technical information to medical and lay persons.
Instructs patients on proper specimen collection procedures.
Reviews various laboratory reports for completeness and takes measures to remediate any deficiencies found.
Utilizes appropriate age related criteria for communication comfort and safety of patients.
Education & Experience:High School Graduate/Equivalent Preferred • 1 year(s) of experience in Phlebotomy Preferred Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience Licenses, Certifications, & Training:• Phlebotomist Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors: This position requires ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions. Required Attention to detail, excellent patient care. Required
