Basic Function: Interacts positively in face-to-face service encounters with patients, families, and other patient care providers in a respectful, courteous, confidential, and caring manner. Demonstrates cooperation by offering assistance to faculty, residents, and other health care providers. Duties include meeting and greeting patients and guests, cashiering, patient check-in and check-out
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization.
Pre-employment testing is required.
Other Requirements: Experience with high volume face to face customer service encounters. 2-4 years' experience in registration or patient accounts, excellent customer service skills, strong demonstrable communications skills, and ability to consistently type/enter data accurately. Ability to correctly spell diagnoses, procedures, patient names. Cashiering experience required. Overall knowledge and understanding of the revenue cycle and accounts receivable. Previous experience with cash collections.
Two or four year college degree preferred. Georgia Work Ready Certificate preferred
